In this video, take a look at this former Michigan Football star's quest to play professional football. Here's a look at some of the training that he's been doing as he prepared for his Michigan PRO DAY and as he continues to prepare for a potential professional football career. Jibreel talks about the training and shares some of his present day dietary habits. He has been working with ASAP Sports Science Director Ted Lambrinides and Former NFL Indianapolis Colt Rocky Boiman (Super Bowl) at Jamie Ray's ASAP CINCINNATI. Jibreel Black attended Cincinnati Wyoming High School and played for Head Football Coach Bernie Barre, a member of the Ohio High School Football Coaches' Hall of Fame.
Following a standout high school career, Jibreel then headed to Ann Arbor and the Michigan Wolverines...... the winningest program in college football.
Rocky Boiman had a fine group of assistants working at his camp... Ted Lambrindes, Tyler Sheehan, Brandyn Cook, J.K. Shaffer, Jake Hilvert, Sean Duggan, Henry Fischesser, Sam Hubbard, Chalmer Freuf, Steven Langenkamp, Daniel Fishburn, Nolan Morrow and Ben Klenk.
John Rodenberg, the Head Football Coach at Cincinnati Moeller High School, had some great advice for all of the campers at Rocky Boiman's Youth Football camp. Coach Rodenberg's Moeller Football team won Ohio's top prize last year as they took the Ohio High School Division 1 State Championship. Here's a video of his talk. Great advice for all!
I love doing what I do because I get to work with some of the finest young men around and these guys are two of the best. Luke Kuechly was drafted 9th pick overall to the Carolina Panthers in the 2012 NFL draft and looks to anchor that defense for the next decade! A few days later JK was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that needs help at the LB position. I am fully confident that these two young men have their best days of football in front of them and will succeed at the highest level. Congrats to you both!!
Top college linebacker Luke Kuechly and fellow Boston College teammate, Sean Duggan enjoyed their holidays and winter break by teaming up with yet another former Cincinnati St X Bomber football player, Rocky Boiman, for some training sessions at the Rocky Boiman Football Academy located on Cincinnati's far west side.
In this video, it's Luke Kuechly, the leading tackler in all of college football 2011. Luke won the Butkus Trophy, given to the nation's top college linebacker, the Bronko Nagurski Award, the nation's top defensive player and the Lott IMPACT Trophy. In addition, Luke also was awarded the Rotary Lombardi Award. Recently, Luke decided to forgo his senior year of college football with the Boston College Eagles and have his name entered into the 2012 NFL Draft. Being a tackling machine, he's a sure bet to be a top draft pick! Luke Kuechly also starred at Cincinnati St. Xavier High School where he was an impact player throughout his career. Also in this video, Sean Duggan has just finished his freshman year as linebacker at BC where he has made his presence known... in fact, after watching teammate, Kuechly nab an interception for a "pick 6," Duggan snared his first career interception vs the Miami Hurricanes when he dove for a Jacory Harris pass. Sean was also an All Ohio player for St X head coach Steve Specht. Develop your "A" game and become the best football player that you can be at the Rocky Boiman Football Academy. Rocky will challenge each athlete to push themselves using specific drills and he'll coach the players to a better understanding of the game of football. Rocky Boiman was a star player at Cincinnati St. Xavier High School, a captain for the Fighting Irish at the University of Notre Dame... drafted by the Tennessee Titans and later winning a professional football player's ultimate prize: a Super Bowl ring with the Indianapolis Colts. And, if you happened to be watching NFL Football - Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans- in the United Kingdom yesterday, you heard Color Commentator Rocky Boiman describing the action and strategies to England and beyond.
Cole Combs (#10 below) and Ethan Lynch (#35 below) completed an undefeated season and were GCYL Champions for the 4th grade St. James Panthers. Cole was the shut down corner for the defense while Ethan scored three touchdowns and was all over the field making tackles in the Championship Game at Roger Bacon Stadium. While other kids were playing video games this past year - Cole and Ethan were training, sweating and improving with Rocky Boiman at the RBFA.
RBFA linebacker Sean Duggan, former standout linebacker at St. Xavier High School, has officially taken his game to the next level. A freshman at BC, Duggan was forced into the starting lineup a few weeks ago when the Eagles had some injuries at the position, and hasn't come out of the lineup since. To date he has 28 tackles and a fumble recovery. Congrats to Sean!
....no not QB Andy Dalton but the "real" Andy Dalton, Junior Linebacker for Hanover College. Andy trained hard with me all last summer and is having a phenominal year. He currently leads Division 3 football in tackles and interceptions. He just a few weeks ago broke the school record with an 85 yard INT return for a touchdown and was named HCAC Player of the Week. Congrats Andy, keep up the good work!!
